Staring into another’s eyes appears very much like staring into a supernova. Natalie will draw your portrait while you draw hers at the same time. The goal is to maintain eye contact. The physical portrait is a souvenir of this intimate moment.
Though Natalie has no formal training in painting, she often tests the boundaries of beauty in painting the human body. She works with vibrant colours and sometimes indiscernible anatomy (fitting that she has a degree in biology). She is represented by La Petite Mort Gallery in Ottawa. One of her pieces was chosen for last year’s Timeraiser Ottawa where it achieved maximum bid. She was also an artist in last year’s inaugural NBO12 .
