This project is made especially for Nuit Blanche. NOCTURNE consists of an interactive installation reuniting light and music. Is following the sparkles of light, the public is invited to create a street orchestra.
Mercimerci originates from Gatineau, Quebec. Valérie and David both graduated from Cégep de l’Outaouais in the Visual Arts program. Valérie Mercier then obtained a certificate in graphic design at the University of Québec in the Outaouais in 2011 and also became a graduate from the School of the Photographic Arts: Ottawa. David Mercier is a graduate from UQUÀM in interactive media and graduated in 2013.
Louis Leblanc, a bachelor in mechnical ingeneering and is passionate about music, adds up to this group with his multidisciplinary knowledge. Together, they form the collectif called Mercimerci where they unite visual arts and interactivity in goals of introducing the public to the practices of art of our time and provoke fascination.
