A selection of contemporary Polish short films from the Play Poland Film Festival will be screened, including the award winning short, The Lost Town of Switez, which was created by combining 3D animation with classic animation using oil paints.
Play Poland Film Festival, presented in Ottawa by the Young Polish Canadian Professionals Association, is an international festival of Polish film. The largest mobile film event in the United Kingdom, aiming at presenting and promoting contemporary Polish cinema, will return this year to the National Archives Auditorium in early November. In addition to screenings of short and feature films, there will be an exhibition of original Polish film art. In the tradition of Polish hospitality, guests will be invited to enjoy a catered reception of Polish foods and beer.
The Play Poland Film Festival is sponsored in Ottawa by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland.
