Featuring designs by Jordan Richer, ‘The Food Truck Set’ is an invitation for Ottawa-Gatineau to play with its food. A custom game of “set” will be projected onto a wall inviting the Nuit Blanche audience to guide the look of the artwork each turn.
Food trucks are a nod to the culture of Ottawa-Gatineau. The faithful corner poutine truck: a symbol of the things Ottawans hold dear. The new food truck fleet: a tale of the political battle won by the community. The diverse truck offerings: from bao to tacos, fusion food celebrating our multiculturalism, local ingredients featuring our best.
‘The Food Truck Set’ refers not only to the mechanic of the game, but to the people who have rallied together to change the face of street food in Ottawa. The devoted twitter followers, the red-eye chefs, the tireless food bloggers, the dedicated foodies, the backing breweries…it’s a small example of how it’s the people of Ottawa that make living here nothing other than a pleasure.
