Cheerleader materializes the real and imagined hurdles of daily life into an obstacle course on Daly Avenue. Sidestep your social anxiety, face down your FOMO, unfriend your insecurity and make it to the finish line. Believe your own hype.

The Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG) was founded in the late 1980s in response to years of lobbying and organizing by Ottawa artists, who felt a municipal gallery was needed to better represent the local artistic scene. This realization was finally achieved in September 1988, with the opening of the Gallery at Arts Court. In 1992, the City of Ottawa was given the Firestone Art Collection (now called the Firestone Collection of Canadian Art). Since the mid-1990s, the OAG has produced innumerable, compelling exhibitions, public programs and publications.
