For Nuit Blanche Ottawa Gatineau 2013 I have created a video that reminds me of connecting cities or places and more specifically, connecting memories. I chose to highlight the Supernova theme through the use of color and movement highlighted by a soundtrack created by Toronto musiciam Laura Levesque.

The video symbolizes a dying memory, or one that you might be holding on too because it references an important time or event in your life. The telephone poles are a trigger to those memories that are so far away they are no longer precise and almost become part of a chain of images rather than a full memory.

For the launch of Identity Roadmap on the night of Nuit Blanche, Laura Levesque will be performing some of the music live while the performance and project are being documented and filmed for Radio Canada’s Franco Ontarian art documentary, Rendez-Vous.
