The wild Chaudiere Falls on the Ottawa River have caused travelers to portage since ancient times. This bypass triggered the establishment of both the Cities of Ottawa and Hull in the 19th century. Portage will connect the audience with this history.

An artist for over twenty years, I have experimented broadly with a number of mediums in order to communicate and connect with my audience. My life experiences and travels come together to inform and strengthen my work. Successful using traditional fine art methods, in recent years, sculpture, public architectural art and performance art have allowed me to reach much larger audiences. In particular the Nuit Blanche events: Planet Elephants, 2012 and Super Nova, 2013 exemplify the type of participatory, public spectacles that connect to people outside of traditional artistic venues. Portage 2014 will follow continue in the tradition of these exhibitions.
