Description: CAMERA HYPESCURA is a human-powered photobooth. Just like a traditional photobooth – audience members will be photographed and receive a black and white print.
Participants will be aware of people inside the piece but will not see them. The idea is to take out the automated parts of a photobooth and insert human producers.
The ‘HYPE’ lies in the time between captured image and final product. This 15-minute period will create anxious tension and excitement that will be resolved when the participant receives the image.
